Cheri Y. Gay

Cheri Gay has lived in and around Detroit for over forty years. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, she has spent more than twenty-five years at the Detroit Public Library in a variety of roles, most recently as Photo Archivist in the Burton Historical Collection. She is the author of the best-selling Detroit Then and Now and also Lost Detroit.

Lisa Marie Griffith

Lisa Marie Griffith studied history at University College Dublin and a PhD at Trinity College. She became fascinated by the history of Dublin and throughout her studies worked as a walking tour guide in Dublin. Lisa Marie is author of Stones of Dublin: A History of Dublin in Ten Buildings (Collins Press, 2014) and has published a number of essays on Dublin history. She is co-editor of two edited collections of essays, Leaders of the City: Dublin’s first citizens, 1500–1950 (Four Courts, 2013) and Death and Dying in Dublin: 1500 to the Present (Four Courts, 2016). She also presented a series on Anna Livia (now Dublin City FM) for two years on Dublin History. She taught history and was Coordinator of the Cultural and Heritage Studies Programme at the National Print Museum in Dublin. She now works at DCU (Dublin City University).

Helen Gregory

Helen Gregory was born in Brisbane and is a historian specializing in Queensland’s history and cultural heritage. She has taught in the Department of History at the University of Queensland and was Director of Cultural Heritage at the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency. She has written historical backgrounds for major museum exhibitions at the Queensland Museum and The Australian Workers Heritage Center.

Nick Gay

Nick Gay is a graduate of Cambridge University and spent much of his early life abroad. He moved to Berlin in 1991 and founded Original Berlin Walks with his partner Serena Gay in 1993, offering guided walking tours in and around the city. Nick is often in demand as a guide for his extensive knowledge of Berlin in the Third Reich and during the Cold War.

Vaughan F. Grylls

Vaughan F. Grylls is an English photographer, author and artist. His photography and artworks have been shown widely in the US including a mid-career retrospective at the University of Wisconsin in 1986. He is represented in several public collections, including Polaroid Inc, Williams College Massachusetts and the British National Media Museum. Grylls has been Professor of Photography and Video at Williams College Massachusetts and visiting Professor in Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin, St Louis’s Washington University and at the University of South Dakota. He is the author and photographer of Oxford Then and Now, Cambridge Then and Now, Hong Kong Then and Now, Singapore Then and Now and Shanghai Then and Now.

Vaughan Grylls

Vaughan Grylls is a photographer, author and artist. His photography has been shown in the Photographers’ Gallery, Whitechapel Art Gallery and the Arnolfini. He is represented in several public collections, including the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, the Contemporary Art Society, Pfizer, Unilever and the Arts Council of Wales. From 1996 to 2005 Grylls was Chief Executive of the Kent Institute of Art and Design. In 2005 he founded the University for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester, and serves as Emeritus Professor. He is the author and photographer of Oxford Then and Now, Cambridge Then and Now, Hong Kong Then and Now and Singapore Then and Now.
