W. Chris Phelps

W. Chris Phelps hails from Richmond, Virginia and was educated in Charleston. He has published two works on Charleston during the Civil war: The Bombardment of Charleston 1863-1865 and Charlestonains in War: The Charleston Battalion. Drawing on his background as a historian, Phelps co-founded America by Foot, one of the largest walking tour companies in the United States, which specializes in tours of Charleston and other parts of South Cariolina.

John Paulett

John Paulett is the author of histories Forgotten Chicago, Printers Row and Pentecost Peanuts Popcorn and Prayer. He is currently working on a history of Catholic social activism. He holds an M.A. in Theology and is completing an M.F.A. in Writing at Antioch University. John is married to the artist Sabina Ott and lives in Oak Park, Illinois

Nelson Price

<p>Nelson Price is an author, journalist, and historian. His books include Indiana Legends: Famous Hoosiers from Johnny Appleseed to David Letterman and Legendary Hoosiers. A fifth-generation Hoosier, he was a feature writer and columnist for the Indianapolis Star for many years. He lives in a historic neighborhood in downtown Indianapolis and teaches journalism. Joan Hostetler is a local historian and photographic specialist. She has helped dozens of libraries and museums interpret, archive, digitize, and preserve historic images. She is the founder of the Indiana Album, a community digitization project that copies, catalogs, and shares images found in attics and albums throughout Indiana. Garry Chilluffo, an Indianapolis-based commercial photographer, specializes in architectural and advertising photography, with a personal interest in historic preservation. Originally from upstate New York, he is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Photography and Winona School of Professional Photography. His photography book projects include The Art of the 92 County Walk for the Indiana State Museum, Indianapolis Then and Now (2004), and multiple updated editions for the Then and Now series.</p>

William Dylan Powell

William Dylan Powell is a Houston-based writer specialised in all things Texas. A regular contributor to the Houston Chronicle, he is a member of the Houston Writers League, the Houston Press Club, and the Houston chapter of the Association of Authors and Publishers. He has also written about wider Texas and is the author of the original Austin Then and Now® (2006) and Texas Then and Now® (2013).

Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation

The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation (PHLF) was founded in 1964 by a group of citizens who passionately believed that historic preservation, rather than massive demolition, could be a tool for renewing communities, building pride among residents, and achieving sustainable economic development. After more than 50 years of work throughout the Pittsburgh region, PHLF has shown that architectural landmarks and historic neighborhoods are community assets and that historic preservation is a catalyst for urban renewal.

Brian Page

Brian Page became captivated by China at an early age; his grandparents lived in China from 1915 to 1949 and his mother was born and raised there. He is currently a professor at the University of Colorado where he is the chair of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences.

Mo Palmer

Mo Palmer is a native New Mexican who has lived in Albuquerque for fifty years. She worked at the Albuquerque Museum for fifteen years as a volunteer and as photo archivist, curating a 100,000-item historical collection. She is also a freelance writer and has coproduced eight Albuquerque history documentaries. Palmer writes a monthly history column for the Albuquerque Tribune, has collaborated on an exhibit and catalog with the National Hispanic Cultural Center, and is an oral historian. She teaches New Mexican history to seventh-grade students at Sandia Preparatory School.
